Introduction to the Royal Infantry Museum: The Royal Scots Regimental Museum is located opposite the Cavalry Museum. It is the oldest infantry of the British Army. It was founded during the reign of Charles I and has a history longer than that of Scotland. The Horse Guards are still a few decades older.
The 2nd Battalion of this regiment once participated in the "Battle of Culloden" that broke out in the Scottish Highlands. As mentioned earlier, the "Battle of Culloden" was the last land battle that took place in the UK. He was stationed in Hong Kong when the Pacific War broke out in 1941. On 28 March 2006, the 1st Royal Regiment of Infantry merged with the remaining Scottish infantry units to form The Royal Regimental of Scotland.
