It was built by Jiang Jingbang, the grandson of Jiang Shixiong, the builder of Eryi Tower, in the 22nd year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1817). It is backed by Lion Mountain. Nanyang Tower is a double-ring circular earth building, facing southeast and northwest, covering an area of ​​3100 square meters. The building is 13.25 meters high and 51.6 meters in diameter. It has 4 units, each with a staircase. Each unit has 7 bays. There are corridors inside and outside the building to connect the whole building. The interior of the building is decorated with brackets, carved flowers and grass, and is exquisitely decorated. It is a Hoklo ethnic area. It is a classic example of the organic combination of unit style and corridor style in earth buildings.
