Introduction to the Red Army Sanping Reunion Memorial Hall: In July 1935, the Third Independent Regiment and the Ninth Independent Regiment of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army victoriously met at Sanping Temple. The foundation stone of the Red Army Sanping Reunion Memorial Hall was laid in October 1986, and it was completed and opened in November 1988. It is one of the main revolutionary traditional education bases in Pinghe County and even Zhangzhou City. In December 2007, it was named "Fujian National Defense Education Base" by the provincial government.
