Introduction to the Martyrs Cemetery: The image of the New Fourth Army on the monument was designed by Liu Yafan, a sculptor from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The casting was made by Zhou Zaihe, the foundry master of Funing General Machinery Factory, which is majestic and vivid. On the front is Comrade Chen Yi's inscription "Moral and meritorious service will last forever", and on the back Comrade Deng Zihui, former director of the Political Department of the New Fourth Army, inscribed "The hero's name will be immortal and his majesty will last forever". The inscription was written by the famous calligrapher He Bingsheng.
