Introduction to the Eighteen Scenes of Bodhidharma: To the west of Yongquan Temple is a Lion Peak shaped like a lion. Walk west along the Lion Peak for several miles and you will reach Bodhidharma Cave. Inside the cave is a 2-meter-long sitting statue of Bodhidharma facing the wall; outside the cave There is a huge stone with a flat stone wall, on which are engraved the eighteen scenes of Gushan compiled by the poet Wei Jie during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty based on the natural scenery and folklore of Gushan. They are Bodhidharma facing the wall, Antarctica ascending to the sky, Immortal Ape Guarding the Gorge, and Ancient Crane Nest Cloud. , Immortal monuments, complete picture of happiness and longevity, peach-filled dock, jade bamboo shoots forming a forest, ants crossing the tide, fishing lanterns shining brightly, lions playing with balls, golden toads coming out of their caves, tigers carrying sutras on their backs, divine dragons listening to the Dharma, armors unloading rocks, loving-kindness. After years of weathering and disintegration, some of the eighteen scenic spots on Gushan no longer exist, but most of the scenic spots are still lifelike. Together with the wonderful myths and legends, visitors can feel the incomparable magic of nature.
