Introduction to Kaihua Temple: Kaihua Temple is located in the center of Kaihua Island. It is the oldest building in the park. It is said to have been built in the fourth year of Jingyou in the Northern Song Dynasty (1037). The existing building was rebuilt by Governor Jin Shirong in the 44th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1705). It has the main hall in the middle, a meditation hall at the back, bell and drum towers on the two wings, guest quarters on the left and abbot's room on the right. There used to be "Eighteen Niang" lychees in the temple, which was quite famous. Song Caixiang's "Lychee Pu" says: "It is rumored that the Wang family of the King of Fujian had an eighteenth daughter who liked this product, hence the name." There is still an ancient lychee tree in front of the temple. The temple is located in the center of the lake, surrounded by red flowers, green willows and mirror-like blue waves. Rare flowers and trees, bonsai flowers, root carvings, etc. are planted in the courtyard.
