Introduction to Phobjikha Valley: Phobjikha Valley (Phobjikha) is one of the few glacial valleys in Bhutan. The fields in the mist are the overwintering habitat of the world's only plateau crane, the black-necked crane. We fly to Gangtey every November. When spring comes, we fly back to Tibet. For the Bhutanese, the black-necked crane is an auspicious bird. If the number increases this year, it will be a very lucky year.
