Introduction to the square caisson: The top of the fifth cave is a square caisson. In the center of the caisson is a large lotus, surrounded by six flying apsaras. There are patterned Buddhas in the four corners and honeysuckle in between. The entire caisson is based on the theme of lotus, with a well-proportioned composition and beautiful appearance.
