Introduction to Dongshan Academy: Advocating literature and education, Sujiawei established a school - Dongshan Academy during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. By the Qing Dynasty, Sujiawei had a total of 11 study rooms. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Sujiawei produced more than 60 imperial officials and a group of literati and scholars, including 2 Juren, 29 Gongsheng, and more than 120 scholars.
