Introduction to the century-old house: The century-old wooden house was built around the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty by the father and son Hou Yongsheng and Hou Yixiang. It has a history of more than 150 years and is one of the seven century-old houses existing in the Longji area. The wooden building is entirely made of Chinese fir, and the entire building is made of tenons, holes, and wooden bolts. The entire building does not use a single iron nail, fully demonstrating the unique carpenter skills of "mortise and tenon interlocking" passed down from Luban. The wooden buildings are arranged in six rows and five empty spaces. The location of the foundation, the orientation of the gate, and the ancestral shrine were all feng shui checked by a geologist. The length, width, and height of the house were carefully measured according to the "Luban Ruler" to avoid evil and gain advantage. "Ji" effect.
