Introduction to ethnic customs: Maoer Mountain is where the Yao and Miao people live together. Most of the villages around the reserve are Yao and Miao cottages. The Yao and Miao people are simple, kind, hospitable, and good at singing and dancing. Their stilt-style buildings, embroidered Tang suits and colorful skirts are all unique and full of national characteristics.
