Introduction to the Chonggu Academy Archway: The stone archway in front of the Chonggu Guanshan Academy (built in 1988, inscribed by Zhao Yuting). The founding date of the academy is unknown. In the 11th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1806), Sun Yu, a doctor from Fengzhi, rebuilt it. The academy faces east from the west, is backed by mountains and valleys, and is built in the belly of Guanshan Mountain. It is divided into upper and lower courtyards according to the terrain, covering an area of 737 square meters.
