Introduction to Buddha statues: Huanzhu Cave was another Buddhist holy place in the Tang Dynasty besides Qinglin Temple in Xishan. The monks who embraced Buddhism carved many Buddha statues in the cave. Bokang of Song Dynasty of the Tang Dynasty engraved a record of the statue in Dazhong (852 AD). A Vairuna statue in Linjiang is similar to Indian Buddha statues in terms of facial shape, expression and even wrinkles. Especially in Thousand Buddha Rock, there are many rough-cut Buddha statues that have not yet been formed, like ax chisel marks caused by weathering and erosion.
