Introduction to the Jintian Site of the Taiping Rebellion: On January 11, 1851, the Jintian Uprising of the Taiping Rebellion, which shocked China and the world, broke out on Rhinoceros Ridge on the west side of Jintian Village, Jintian Town, north of Guiping City. Today, the site has towering ancient pines and green grass. Historic sites such as the camp, Rhinoceros Pond, training ground, and trenches used by the rebel army still exist, making it a good place for people to visit, conduct academic research, and carry out patriotism education.
