In the early Tang Dynasty, the ancestors of the Yi people in Guizhou built the "Nine-layer Palace", which contained slaughtering, wine-making and other workshops. The "Nine Chong Palace" information shows that distilled liquor was produced in Guizhou during the Tang Dynasty.
