In the Tang Dynasty, wine banquets were popular, and Taizong and Xuanzong frequently hosted banquets for Tibetan envoys, often with thousands of people in attendance. The whole country cannot be polite without wine, and literati cannot write poems without wine. There are many wine shops in Chang'an, the wine industry has risen to new heights, and wine culture and wine allusions have entered an unprecedented and glorious heyday. In the early Tang Dynasty, the ancestors of the Yi people in Guizhou built the "Nine-layer Palace", which contained slaughtering, wine-making and other workshops. The "Nine Chong Palace" information shows that distilled liquor was produced in Guizhou during the Tang Dynasty.
