Introduction to the Peace Palace: The Peace Palace (Vredespaleis in Dutch, The Peace Palace in English) was built between 1907 and 1913 and was mainly donated by the American Andrew Carnegie. It is a two-story brown-red palace-style building with two pointed towers and a corridor composed of nine large arches on the front. The reason why it is named "Peace" is because it places the hope of people from all over the world in maintaining world peace.
