Introduction to the Red Palace: It was originally a school palace in the Ming Dynasty. It was built in the twelfth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty by Zheng Yuan, Fengzhi County, Nanhai. The existing area of the Red Palace is 1,850 square meters. The main buildings include Lingxing Gate, Panqiao Panchi, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall and Side Hall. In 1927, under the leadership of Peng Pai, the people of Haifeng held the third armed uprising and seized power with arms. In November of the same year, the Haifeng County Workers, Peasants and Soldiers Congress was held here. The surrounding areas of the conference venue were painted red, and the walls inside the venue were covered with red cloth to represent the red regime. It was renamed the "Red Palace" from then on.
