Introduction to the Centennial Lighthouse: Located at the western entrance of the Qiongzhou Strait, it was built by the French in the 19th year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1893). It is the oldest lighthouse in Hainan. The lighthouse tower is a steel round simplified structure with a height of 20.6 meters and a width of 1.88 meters. There is a light on the top of the tower with a range of 18 nautical miles. For more than a hundred years, the Lingaojiao Centennial Lighthouse has been an important navigational aid for ships entering and exiting the Qiongzhou Strait, and has made great achievements in the liberation of Hainan. In 1997, the Lingaojiao Centenary Lighthouse was included in the list of the world's 100 historical and cultural lighthouses by the International Association of Navigation Aids to Navigation. It is a famous international navigation aid.
