Introduction to the Turtle and Beast Monument: The Chinese stone monument Turtle and Beast Monument standing on the side of the Harvard Library was a souvenir donated by Harvard's Chinese alumni Hu Shi and Song Ziwen during the 300th anniversary of Harvard in 1936.
