Introduction to the temple: It was restored and built by reducing the architectural style of Chotō-in, which was the official center of Heian Kyo at that time, by about two-thirds. The tower gate with double-layer structure is called Yingtian Gate. The worship hall located in the central front and covered with an "indoor mother house-style" roof is Daegukjeon. Among the pavilions located on the left and right of the worship hall, the one on the east is called Soryu Tower, and the one on the west is called White Tiger Tower. They were both restored and built after rigorous research on the architecture of Heian Kyo at that time, and are designated as important cultural properties of Kyoto. At the temple, you can spend 100 yen to draw a lucky lot. If you draw "good luck", you must return to the temple the next year to fulfill your vow.
