Introduction to the Twelve Rooms: The Twelve Rooms of Henan University were built as student dormitories one after another from 1921 to 1952, with twelve rooms in the east and two rooms in the west facing each other far away. As the early buildings of Henan University’s campus, these rooms have long been a part of Henan University. The important cultural landscape, its simple and elegant architectural style, and the combination of Chinese and Western architectural forms are not only the embodiment of a specific development period of modern Chinese architecture, but also an important witness to the historical development of Heda.
