Introduction to the Red Army Square: Facing the entrance of the Red Army Square is a red granite recumbent stele, with the gilded city logo "Hengdian Red Army Long March Expo City" engraved on the front. In the center of the entrance is a huge stele of Mao Zedong's Long March poems, with Xu Wenrong and Luo Kaifu engraved on the back. The construction inscription written by Luo Kaifu; on both sides are the famous journalist Luo Kaifu's Long March Cultural and Historical Museum. The Red Army Century Memorial Altar in the center of the square is divided into three floors. The third floor is 50m in diameter and is a regular 11-sided polygon, representing the 11 steps that the Red Army passed during the Long March. Each province and region is engraved with 11 characters: Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Hunan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Kangxi, Gan and Shaanxi. Each straight-edge groove contains special soil from 11 provinces and regions, symbolizing the Red Army. The folks from the 11 provinces and autonomous regions that we have traveled through have never forgotten the deep love of the Red Army. In the pentagonal base in the center of the altar, the evergreen light shines red, symbolizing the everlasting spirit of the Red Army’s Long March.
