Introduction to the relocation mural: This relocation picture was drawn by Mr. Lu Baotong based on the historical records and folklore of the relocation in the Ming Dynasty. It reflects the tragic scene of the relocation at that time. According to official historical records, in the nearly 50 years from the 3rd year of Hongwu of Ming Dynasty Zhu Yuanzhang to the 15th year of Ming Dynasty Emperor Zhu Di's Yongle, the Ming government organized a total of 18 major official immigrations in Shanxi. Immigrants registered together under the big locust tree outside Guangji Temple, received their migration certificates and payment, and then moved to various state capitals.
