Introduction to the sculptures with themes of the Liberation War: The sculptures on the east side of the monument represent the themes of the Liberation War. There are four figures in the sculptures. The commander in the middle waved his left hand forward and raised his pistol in his right hand, as if shouting loudly, directing the charge; one soldier blew the charge horn; another soldier held a submachine gun and looked ahead, leaning forward to charge; followed closely by Soldiers crawl forward with grenades in hand. This sculpture symbolizes the revolutionary spirit of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, which continues to march forward courageously and without fear of sacrifice in order to liberate the whole of China.
