Introduction to the Palace of Love and Hope: It was carefully designed by King Rama VI in 1924 in order to let his concubine give birth to a little prince for him. The palace uses high-quality building materials, is elegant and generous, and has a colonial style. Its biggest feature is the 16 wooden stilt palaces whose overall structure is supported by 1080 teak trees, which can eliminate ground moisture and make the living environment drier. A thin trench is dug at the bottom edge of the supporting wall for water injection, so that ants and other insects cannot climb up and affect daily life. The buildings in the palace are connected by a promenade, extending from the land to the seaside. At the end of the promenade, a viewing lounge with excellent views is designed.
