Introduction to Prince Consort Alley: After Zhu Yuanzhang became the emperor in the Ming Dynasty, he made an exception and named his niece Wujiao Princess Qingyang, and made Huang Bao the Prince Consort Commandery, giving him the name Huang Chen. Huang Chen, the Prince Consort Huang Chen, always lived here when he was in Huai'an. Later generations changed the original name of Wangxian Lane to Prince Consort Lane. Today, Prince Consort Alley still maintains its old style. There are houses with alternating blue bricks, gray tiles and whitewashed walls on both sides of the alley. There are exquisite and meaningful brick and stone carvings on the ancient buildings, and ancient bluestone slabs running through the north and south of the alley. Road, in overall coordination with Zhou Enlai’s former residence, constitutes the basic style of the historical district.
