Introduction to the Qinglong Gorge Great Wall: The location of Qinglong Gorge was once the Ming Dynasty Great Wall fortress "Dashuiyu Pass". The pass was built during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1403-1424). The terrain inside the pass is dangerous and there are three gates in the east, south and west. It was a transportation fortress leading from the capital to Dage and Rehe in the Qing Dynasty.
