Introduction to Huatan Academy: Li Zhi, an official, thinker, Zen master, and writer of the Taizhou School in the Ming Dynasty, came to Huangbai Mountain in 1601 and discussed Buddhist scriptures and Taoism with Zen Master Wu Nian, the founder of Fayan Temple, at Huatan Academy. The mountain in the ancient famous saying "Most of the world's scholars are already in this mountain" refers to Huangbai Mountain.
