Introduction to the reserve: Hunan Jiemuxi National Nature Reserve is adjacent to Zhangjiajie and Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture. It is 15.0 kilometers wide from north to south and 15.5 kilometers long from east to west. It has been identified by the World Wildlife Fund as one of the world's 200 ecological zones of international significance.
