Introduction to the Red Army Crossing: In July 1930, Peng Dehuai led the Third Red Army to attack Changsha, defeating more than 30,000 enemy troops with 8,000 men, and captured Changsha on July 27. Some soldiers of the Third Red Army crossed the Liuyang River from Huji into Changsha. After the establishment of Martyrs Park, Hujidu was included in the park and the place was renamed Red Army Ferry. In 1987, a Shan Pavilion and a stone tablet were built next to the deputy entrance. The three words "Red Army Ferry" were engraved on the tablet to commemorate commemorate. There is an ancient ginkgo tree preserved at the ferry, which bears witness to the transition of the Red Army that year.
