Introduction to Yili Border Defense History Museum: Ili Border Defense History Museum is the first history museum in Xinjiang and even China that focuses on reflecting border defense. The words "border" include border defense, border, frontier, frontier, border people, border situation, frontier fortress, and border pass. Culture is fully reflected here. Visitors can truly experience and feel the "border" style while being on the scene. The museum is composed of four parts: the History Hall, the Reclamation Hall, the Contemporary Hall and Lin Zexu's Garrison. The museum uses objects, paintings, sculptures, pictures and other methods to show the history of the Yili people's adhering to the border and settling land to garrison the border since the Han and Tang Dynasties, recreating it to people. It reflects the great achievements of the famous patriotic general Lin Zexu in destroying opium in Humen and the great contributions he made to Xinjiang's water conservancy construction, land reclamation, and maintenance of national unity during the more than two years since he was dismissed from office and sent to the ancient city of Huiyuan in Yili.
