Introduction to Yuhuang Mountain: Yuhuang Mountain was named Yuzhu Peak in the Tang Dynasty and was renamed Yuwang Mountain in the Five Dynasties. According to legend, King Qian of Wuyue in the Five Dynasties once welcomed the relics of King Ashoka Temple in Mingzhou (now Ningbo) and placed them on the mountain, hence the name. After the Song Dynasty, it was also known as Yulong Mountain, Longshan, Tiantian Mountain, etc. The Fuxing Temple was founded in the Ming Dynasty and began to worship the Jade Emperor. It was first named Yuhuang Mountain and is a holy place for the Quanzhen sect, the mainstream of Taoism.
