Introduction to the Road of Love: "Via Dell Amore" (Via Dell Amore) is located between Monterosso and Riomaggiore. It is said that when the Cinque Terre area was preparing to open a railway, people had to find a safe and secluded place to store it. The location of these dangerous items happened to be halfway between the two villages, so a secret path was slowly carved out of the rock. Nowadays, this 2.5-kilometer long path has become a popular tryst place for lovers. On one side of the path is the dazzling deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea, and on the other side are weird rocks that tell the history to passers-by. It is named the "Road of Love".
