Introduction to the Mouth of Truth: The so-called "Mouth of Truth" (Bocca della verità) is a disc engraved with the head of Poseidon on the drainage outlet of the porch of the Church of Our Lady in Greece. It has a nose, eyes, and a wide mouth. According to legend, if someone doesn't tell the truth, it will bite his hand.
