Introduction to the silver kettle: The largest and heaviest silver kettle in the world in the City Palace is said to be used to hold the holy water of the Ganges. In 1902, the prince specially made these two silver pots filled with eternal water in order to attend the coronation ceremony of Edward VII of England. Because the prince was a very devout Hindu, he could bathe in the holy water of the Ganges every day. River water is transported thousands of miles to England on ships.
