Introduction to the Puppet Museum: The Puppet Museum was built in 1912. The place where it was located was originally an old church, but it was later completely destroyed in the earthquake. The Javanese puppets collected in the museum were first used to worship ancestors. In the 5th century, due to the influence of Hinduism in Indonesia, the role of these puppets changed. In the museum, you can enjoy Javanese puppet performances and learn about Indonesian culture and history.
