Introduction to Suyama Sengen Shrine: The starting point of the Suyamaguchi hiking trail. The Hoei eruption in 1707 severely damaged both the shrine and the hiking trail. The current main shrine was rebuilt in 1823. According to the history of the shrine, Suyama Sengen Shrine was founded by the prince "Nihon Takeru".
