Introduction to the Stone Pagoda of the Pagoda Temple: It is said that the 11th Emperor Shun of the Yuan Dynasty was troubled because he had no sons. A monk advised him, "Build a pagoda on the seven peaks where the Big Dipper appears and worship the Buddha to get a son." Therefore, Emperor Shun built Wondang Temple and a stone pagoda on Wondang Peak on the northeast coast of Tamna Kingdom, which was under the rule of the Yuan Dynasty at that time. The stone pagoda is made of basalt like Dolharubang. It is different from the stone pagodas in the mainland architectural style and has a unique texture.
