Introduction to Hadrian's Arch: Hadrian (117-138 AD) was the third emperor of the Roman Empire during the Antonine Dynasty, the most developed and prosperous era of the Roman Empire. In 129 AD, in order to welcome the visit of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, the Jerash people built a majestic triumphal arch in the south of the city, named it "Hadrian's Arch".
