Introduction to the Elliptical Square: The Elliptical Square was originally built in the 1st century AD. The pillars around the square are all Ionic stone columns. There were originally two altars and a fountain in the square. The stone pillar in the center of the square was erected by modern people and used to set off fireworks for the annual music festival.
