Introduction to Painting Saint Square: Painting Saint Square was built to commemorate the painting Saint Wu Daozi who drew the draft of "Three Hundred Miles of Splendid Jialing" in Zhouzi Ancient Town. According to "Famous Painters of the Tang Dynasty" by Zhu Jingxuan of the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty missed the mountains and rivers of Shu, so he sent painters Wu Daozi and Li Sixun to the Jialing River to observe and paint. After returning to Chang'an, Xuanzong asked them what they had painted, and Wu Daozi replied: " I don’t have a copy, and I will keep it in mind.” Then it took only one day to paint the scroll of “Three Hundred Miles of Splendid Jialing” on the wall of Datong Hall, but Li Sixun, who was ordered to come with him to paint, took several months to complete. There is a saying that "Li Sixun's work took several months, and Wu Daozi's work took one day".
The Wu Daozi head sculpture on the square is made of red sandstone, 30 meters long and 15 meters high. It is currently the largest Wu Daozi head sculpture in the country.
