Introduction to Tianshou Sheng'en Temple: Sheng'en Temple, the full name of Tianshou Sheng'en Temple, is located southeast of Guangfuxuan Tomb in Wuzhong District, Suzhou City, at the foot of Chaizhuang Ridge and facing Taihu Lake. During the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, the Shengen Temple "Tianshou Temple" was founded. During the Baoyou period of the Southern Song Dynasty, the "Sheng'en Zen Temple" was built. The temples and nunneries were side by side and were once used as upper and lower monasteries. In the first year of Tianshun in the Yuan Dynasty (1328), the young master Asu Jiba gave a plaque to the "Sheng'en Zen Temple". At the beginning of the reign of Emperor Zhengzheng, Tianshou Temple was destroyed by fire, but Shengen Chan Temple survived. It is the birthplace of the Southern Buddhism. Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty stopped here many times when they visited Guangfu. In the ninth year of Zhizheng (1349), Zen Master Wanfeng Shiwei, a disciple of Zen Master Qianyan Yuanchang, a famous monk in the south of the Yangtze River, entered Wu from Hangzhou and lived in Zhuoxuan Tomb Mountain. Due to the arrival of Wanfeng, there are more and more believers. In the ninth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1376), land was allocated to build the Guanyin Pavilion and various halls, and Sheng'en Temple began to show its scale.
