Introduction to wetlands: There are two types of wetlands in the protected area. Natural wetlands include river wetlands, lake wetlands, freshwater herbaceous swamps, shrub wetlands, and freshwater forest swamps; artificial wetlands include fish ponds, ponds, and paddy fields. Among them, the most important Kazakhstan peat swamp is the peat deposit with the thickest peat layer and the largest reserves in Northeast China. It has a fast deposition rate and various types of plant residues. It is a rare high-resolution peat layer marker in the world. . It is of great significance for scientific research on conserving and providing water sources, purifying water quality, regulating climate, and the formation, development and succession processes of peat swamp wetlands.
