Introduction to the Tang Stele Pavilion: Also known as the "Zhenguan Baohan" Pavilion, the pavilion displays the "Inscription and Preface of the Jin Temple" handwritten by Li Shimin, Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. This stele was built by Li Shimin after the establishment of the Tang Dynasty to reward Shu Yu for his divine kindness and to promote the Tang Dynasty's cultural, political and martial arts. The text is 1,003 words in running script, strong and straight, free and easy, with majestic bones and polished carving. It is a masterpiece second only to the "Lanting Preface" script and can be said to be a model of running script.
