Black rice introduction: "Girls' Day" is celebrated on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month. It is an important and grand traditional festival for the Miao family with the surname Yang. Among the Miao people in the border areas of Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi, some are called "Girls' Day", some are called "Wufan Festival", and some are called "April 8th". On this day, all families with the surname Yang will prepare banquets, steam "black rice", and bring back married girls, sisters, and daughters to celebrate the festival together. The glutinous rice dyed black by the pulp of the young leaves of the "black rice tree" has gradually become the most representative local delicacy.
