Introduction to the Exhibition of Han Tomb No. 168 at Fenghuang Mountain in Jingzhou: Fenghuang Mountain fell into ruins and became a noble cemetery during the Qin and Han Dynasties since Qin general Bai Qi captured Ji Nancheng, the capital of the Chu state, in 278 BC. Through archaeological drilling, more than 180 ancient tombs from the Qin and Western Han Dynasties have been discovered. Among them, No. 168 Western Han Dynasty tomb unearthed a well-preserved ancient corpse, a bamboo slip "Governing Letter", pens, ink, a balance pole and lacquerware. There are more than 500 precious cultural relics including bronzes, pottery, bamboo, silk and linen fabrics, and wooden figurines, which are of great significance to the study of the development of science, economy, history, and culture in ancient China, especially the Western Han Dynasty.
