Introduction to the Wanshou Pagoda: It was built during the Jiajing period. It is made of masonry and has seven octagonal levels. It is more than 40 meters high. There are 87 white marble Buddha statues carved on each floor of the outer wall of the tower, and a gilt copper pagoda on the top. The full text of the Diamond Sutra is engraved on it. There are 102 stone tablets and 2,347 relief brick carvings in the pagoda. Its brick carving art is the best in Jingchu. What is even more peculiar is that as the Jingjiang embankment has been strengthened and raised year by year, the tower has sunk beneath the embankment, forming a unique underground pagoda.
