Introduction to Niangniang Beach: Niangniang Beach, covering an area of nearly 13 hectares, is a "convex" shaped island and is a famous small oasis in the fortress. It is located in the Yellow River channel in the north of Hequ County, Shanxi Province. People on the island can hear the crow of cocks from the three provinces and regions of Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia. Legend has it that in the early Western Han Dynasty, Empress Lu took over the power and demoted Empress Dowager Bo and her son Liu Heng to this place. Later, Liu Heng proclaimed himself emperor (Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty) and built the Empress Temple on the beach, hence the name Empress Beach. The scenery on the beach is beautiful and attractive. In summer and autumn, the surrounding water is mighty, and the farmhouses on the beach flicker in and out of the greenery, which has a unique charm.
