Introduction to pores and almond structures: The geological age of pores and almond structures in the volcanic lava of the Dahongyu Formation is approximately 1.625 billion years. When magma overflows, as the pressure decreases, volatile components precipitate as gas, gather into bubbles, and float to the surface while flowing with the magma. When the magma solidifies, the walls of the bubbles solidify, and the gas inside is either lost or condensed into liquid, leaving only the holes, which is the stomata structure. If the pores are filled with minerals, it is called an almond structure.
