Introduction to Hui Deng Temple: Hui Deng Temple is located at the foot of the east mountain of Tianzhu Peak (Paping Peak), with its back to Kasyapa Hall. It has been a must-pass temple on the way to Tianzhu Peak since ancient times. In the first month of 1639 AD, the great traveler Xu Xiake mentioned "Hui Deng Temple" and "Hui Deng Avenue" in his "Diary of a Travel to Yunnan" after traveling to Jizu Mountain, and called the Hui Deng Avenue at the top of Tianzhu Peak. As the "righteous way", Huideng Temple at that time was a place where pilgrims could burn incense, take a break and drink tea in front of the Golden Summit.
After liberation, Huiden Temple was destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution". Today's temple was rebuilt on the original site with government funding in 1983. It now has the main hall, abbot's room and wing rooms, covering a total area of 933 square meters. Hui Deng Nunnery is surrounded by ancient trees. Behind the nunnery, there is an ancient camellia called "Nine Hearts and Eighteen Petals". It is more than 240 years old. Its ten-petal flowers look like lion heads. The flowering period is around the Spring Festival every year. . In front of Huideng Temple, you can also look up at the majestic Surangama Pagoda of Jinding Temple, which stands on the top of Tianzhu Peak and reaches into the sky.
